Good things about the week: Moving/decorating new flat. Turning 25. Awesome presents. Having my name on the birthday card from mom. Looking at building a new PC in the next few weeks- got my eye on a Dual Core/Dual graphics card set up. Currently deciding on AMD or Intel..... (after reading benchmark tests... swinging towards AMDs atm..) Start my 3D Studio Max course, and Advanced Photoshop course soon. Yay!
Bad things:
Shit from the next door neighbour and 5 of his mates- for the sole reason of being a "rug munching dyke". Cue my lights being cut, front door being kicked, a lot of homophobic abuse (plus the lovely shout of "we're going to gang rape you, you slag"). And oh, the best thing, fire- as in through my letterbox and shit. Add the police into the mix, 2 people from the complex have been evicted and that was the first few hours of my birthday. PLUS the intercom in my room is fucked, so I had to call security on my mobile phone.
I've been asked why I didn't get out there and break someones face.
Now, it would've been awesome to do it there and then- if only for shock value of someones teeth flying out infront of his knuckle dragging mates(and hell, if you're around 5'10, I can hit you in the throat. With my knee. Go figure)
However, 6 against one are not good odds, and I would've had my ass handed to me. If I was Sonny Chiba or Tony Jaa then maybe I would've unleashed the fucking fury. Whatever the case, I was waiting in my my lounge during the kicks to my door and calls to the police ("Don't worry, there's a door in the way" "YES THERE IS. And they're trying to FUCKING kick it in. You really thing it's going to fucking hold with 6 guys behind it?"), fully expecting a fight. (Speaking of Ong Bak- interesting note: most the kicks in Ong Bak are Tae Kwon Do based- something which I've flirted with in the past, and is rapidly becoming my main focus).
Man, I sound like some bullish tomboy dyke who looks for fights. Truth is, I'm not at all. I've had problems with the neighbour and his friends before PLUS the agency whos taken over the rentals a while ago doesn't ask for references and the like from new tenants anymore, so it's been going down hill- hence why I've moved.
Repeat for the record : I am not a violent tomboy dyke who likes a good fight. However, I am prepared to defend myself, should it come to that. |
